Job Description:

Summary:The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation, preparing journal entries and financial statements, maintaining records retention and assisting the Controller in various audit, analysis and reporting duties.Duties and Responsibilities:Bank and credit card reconciliationsAccounts Payable - posting payables, tracking accruals/prepaids, maintaining orderly filing systemAccounts Receivable - posting receipts, reconciling accountPost daily/weekly tax paymentsReconcile payroll tax accountsOrganize and file monthly notices, keep track of state tax filings, resolve any discrepancies and outstanding noticesProcess monthly/quarterly/annual multi state and federal tax returnsReconcile Balance Sheet accountsAssist with quarterly and annual auditsPerform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requestedSpecial projects as requestedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting preferredMinimum of 2 years on the job accounting experience requiredProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelSage Intacct experience preferred but not requiredExperience with Prism and MasterTax a plusSkills:Strong communication skills - both written and verbalEffective problem solvingExceptional attention to detailProactiveUnderstanding of, and ability to apply, accounting principles in general ledger maintenance.We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
