Milburn Academy seeks a High School Principal For the 2026/2027

the mission of the organization by directing and managing the
instructional program and supervising general day to day operations
for the assigned school. To provide leadership which will result in
an instructional program that meets the needs of all students while
operating at a high academic level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to): 1.0
Instructional Management 1.1 Monitor the instructional program by
reviewing instructional objectives and teacher lesson plans, and by
ensuring adequate learning materials, and instructional resources.
1.2 Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods on a regular
basis, conferencing with staff, and carefully analyzing assessment
data related to student academic performance. 1.3 Provide
educational leadership focused on improving student performance and
program effectiveness. 1.4 Work closely with Governing Board, State
Director and staff to plan, implement, and evaluate the curriculum
on a systematic basis. Ensure implementation of high performance
program offerings that maximize student opportunities and meet the
requirements leading to a high school diploma. 1.5 Develop and
implement a plan to ensure integration of technology throughout the
curriculum to improve student, staff, and administrative
productivity. 1.6 Develop and implement appropriate plan for
curriculum/instruction staff development in a timely and effective
manner. 2.0 School/Organizational Climate 2.1 Carry out the RMA
mission, philosophy, and vision. 2.2 Recruit students to maintain
required student enrollment levels. 2.3 Project a supportive
professional image to assist in establishing and maintaining an
environment conducive to creating a positive teaching and learning
experience. 2.4 Maintain a positive rapport with all stakeholders
demonstrating skill in positive conflict resolution. 2.5 Develop
activities that recognize and honor students, staff, and community
volunteers for their service and accomplishments. 2.6 Communicate
performance goals and objectives to all stakeholders. 2.7 Establish
behavior objectives, ensuring compliance with student code of
conduct, and enforce established consequences that ensure a safe
operation of a continuous supportive learning environment for all
students and staff. 2.8 Monitor student attendance and devise and
implement strategies that improve student attendance. 2.9 Provide
leadership to all aspects of the school and the RMA programs. 3.0
Personnel Management & Internal Communications 3.1 Maintain regular
and effective communication with RMA of FL, Inc. management staff
and work closely with the Educational Service Provider (ESP) to
develop teamwork approach for increased efficiency and to insure
compliance in all areas. 3.2 Maintain approved staff levels by
recruiting, selecting, compensating, orienting, training, and
managing employees in compliance with state, federal, and
organization EEO and Fair Labor Standards Act. 3.3 Ensure all
employee paperwork and personnel management reports are processed
accurately and timely. 3.4 Regularly communicate and ensure staff
compliance with all policies and procedures. 3.5 Define and
communicate expectations for staff (i.e. routine procedures,
classroom management, instructional strategies, and communication
with the public, and individual contributions to positive staff
morale.) 3.6 Observe and document job performance, provide
development supervision, and conduct performance evaluation
conferences with staff members. 3.7 Monitor progress, encourage,
and mentor teachers and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A master’s or
higher degree awarded by an acceptable institution, and completion
of the Florida Educational Leadership Core Curriculum preferred. 2.
A valid professional certificate covering educational leadership,
administration, or administration and supervision and documentation
of successful performance of the duties of the school principalship
preferred. 3. Demonstration of successful performance of the
competencies of the school principalship standards, documented by
the Florida district school superintendent based on a performance
appraisal system approved by the district school board and the
Department. 4. A combination of at least ten (10) years of
successful experience as a classroom teacher and as a supervisor.
5. A proven ability to relate to a variety of constituencies. 6.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7. Demonstrated
leadership and management ability. 8 Such alternatives to the above
