• Review patient medical records to accurately assign diagnoses, procedure codes and modifiers.
• Comply with all legal requirements regarding coding procedures and practices.
• Collaborate with billing department to ensure all bills are satisfied in a timely manner.
• Enter coded charges into billing system.
• Work directly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to inquire about treatments with regard to coding procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with AR team on denials related to diagnosis codes.
• Remain informed of regulatory and payer changes as they apply to coding.Job Requirements:
  • Previous coding experience required; Orthopedic experience preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Nationally recognized coding certification
  • Commitment to high level of customer service
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and CPT proceduresThis position features:
