Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care in a facility-based setting. Our Physical Therapists play a pivotal role in the rehabilitative care of patients with a wide range of conditions. As a PT at Encompass Health, you will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment, utilizing your skills to foster better health outcomes and improve the quality of life for our patients. Conduct patient assessments and evaluate their physical condition. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history. Use exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide education to patients and their families regarding the recovery processes and how they can contribute to it. Maintain patient records and document treatment plans, progress, and assessments according to company policies. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills Proficient in the use of physical therapy equipment and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to tailor rehabilitation programs to each patient's needs and abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state Physical Therapy license Proof of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership preferred
