Job Description:
The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is seeking a dynamic,
fellowship-trained advanced heart failure transplant cardiologist
to join the heart program in Celebration Florida. The cardiologist
would work in an exciting and thriving transplant program with the
full AdventHealth healthcare system support (50 hospitals in nine
states including 30 in Florida. The physician would have the
benefit of cross coverage for advanced heart failure/ transplant
call and work with a comprehensive team including surgeons,
cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists
and social workers. The Transplant Institute also offers a vibrant
and growing Mechanical Circulatory Support Device program as well
and a fully developed ECMO program. Our team performs 40-45 hearts
and 30-50 mechanical circulatory support devices per year with
multi organ transplant capability. We also have a robust
cardiogenic shock program with over 250 temporary mechanical
circulatory devices implanted per year and state of the art 9900
shock unit. The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is located just outside
downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community. In
September 2020, AdventHealth Orlando opened a state-of-the-art 32
bed critical care unit dedicated to the cardio thoracic transplant
service. AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement

We are the program in Florida for heart transplant volume! As a
leading Center of Excellence for cardiovascular healthcare, the
AdventHealth Transplant Institute and the AdventHealth
Cardiovascular Institute is one of the busiest centers of its kind
in the nation. We are a leading provider of cardiovascular and thoracic
services among Medicare patients with national rankings that
include in Cardiology Volume, in Vascular Surgery volume, in
Women's Cardiology Volume, in Heart Transplant volume nationally,
and in Thoracic Surgery Volume. AdventHealth Orlando's Ginsburg Tower is a 15-story patient
tower with 440 patient beds and our Cardiovascular Institute
includes 12 multi-functional procedure suites equipped to
perform: In addition, the tower also houses our Emergency Department, OR
suites, and ICU beds. A new 32 bed critical care unit recently
opened dedicated to advanced heart and lung failure and transplant.

more than 70,000 cardiac-related visits annually with more than
25,000 individuals being treated for chest pain across seven
emergency rooms. The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is at AdventHealth
Orlando, just north of downtown Orlando. Liver, Kidney and Pancreas
transplants are already performed, and the Heart and Lung program
started in 2012. The office site is steps away from the hospital in
