X-Ray Technologist / X-Ray Tech / X-Ray

Responsibilities

X-Ray Technologist / X-Ray Tech / X-Ray

The X-Ray Technologist will:

* Prepare patients for the procedure and position them for the best possible outcome.
* Properly screen patients for contra indications for radiographic procedures
* Explain the procedure to patients.
* Process x-ray images
* Utilize principles of ALARA and proper radiation safety techniques.
* Demonstrate competency of the 10-day rule (pregnancy clearance)
* Keeps records of x-ray image, unit activities, and related records. Assists in the care and maintenance of x-ray equipment.

Qualifications

X-Ray Technologist / X-Ray Tech / X-Ray

Qualified candidates will have:

* Must be ARRT (R) and have valid state licenses as Medical Radiographic Technologist
* CPR certification is required.
* The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.

Education

* Completion of an accredited ARRT

Other Skills and Abilities

* Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
