HQ in Clearwater, FL (2 days per week at the sales & services
center and 2 days per week at HQ. Friday is WFH.) In-office

and solve problems together. Job Summary: The Sr. Leave of Absence
Coordinator will oversee and manage leave requests and
accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those
arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws,
and short-term or long-term disability plans. This role will focus
on all aspects of leave management, including the full cycle
return-to-work process while ensuring compliance with associated
employment regulations. Must have FMLA and ADA experience.
Multi-state experience preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a subject matter expert with intricate knowledge of
all applicable leave and accommodation laws and governing
regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, and State leave
programs.
- Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave
and/or modified work schedules
- Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and
of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take
leave
- Handles the FMLA leave process from the employee's initial
notice of the need for leave to the return to work
- Coordinate, track, and manage requests for accommodations under
ADA
- Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to
facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication
between employees and managers during leave as needed and within
reason
- Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws
with paid time off, workers compensation, short-term and long-term
disability benefits, and other applicable leaves
- Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning
from extended FMLA, workers compensation, or other leave(s)
- Facilitates other leave requests, which may include leave
accommodation requests under the ADA
- Serve as a primary contact to respond to questions regarding
leave and accommodation requests, as well as assess, research, and
administer employee requests for workplace accommodations.
- Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in
accordance with internal policy and applicable laws
- Drafts and/or recommends revisions to company leave policies to
ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and
regulations
- Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and
accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal
requirements and documentation of best practices
- Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and
files
- Performs other related duties as assigned MANAGEMENT &
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES Typically reports to Benefits Manager.
Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g.,
hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements 3- 5 years
of experience in leave of absence administration Bachelor's degree
in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
preferred Completion of specialized certification or training in
FMLA/leave administration preferred. Demonstrated high level of
professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to analyze information and convert related activities
into a comprehensive work plan
- Ability to analyze data and trends to improve leave policies
and processes
- Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper
management
- Ability to identify basic problems and procedural
irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to quickly build
trusting relationships in a customer-centric environment Any
