Job Description:

Description The Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing the design, development, qualification, and sustainment of electrical-mechanical products and technologies as a member of a global technology group. You will act as the electrical design authority to ensure product quality, performance, and compliance. Specify PAC manufacturing and process specifications to control manufacturing processes. Work with external suppliers to define purchased products. Create and maintain technical documentation for all design work. Drive issues to root cause using Problem Solving Process (PSP), make fact based decisions. Demonstrate conformance to customer requirements. Perform/lead logistics analysis activities (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Reliability Prediction, Time to Repair, etc.). Prepare development test plans and procedures to mitigate technical risk. Prepare qualification/certification test plans and procedures to verify designs and/or obtain airworthiness approval. Engage technical resources (analysts, writers, etc.), both internal and external, in a timely manner to mitigate risks, validate product and ensure project success. Fully understand all Engineering Operations Procedures. Travel (0 - 20%) is required, both domestic and international. Skills and Knowledge: Experience certifying products with UL, IEC, and other global certification agencies Good team leadership skills. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Good team player with customer focus. Ability to multitask and problem solve. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Good working knowledge of the design process. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent major 10+ years working experience developing analog and digital sensors for industrial or aerospace applications Experience developing electrical schematics, PCBs, firmware, and test/qualification protocols and systems Experience with LabVIEW or similar electronic control US Citizenship or Resident Alien status required to support government programs and projects
